Stop Esso Trowbridge Artists - Katy and Rick Trowbridge, Wiltshire Saturday 4th May 2002 My friend Katy had come down to Trowbridge specially for the weekend to take part in this campaign to draw attention to the forthcoming Stop Esso Day protest. We joined activists from Wiltshire Greenpeace and West Wiltshire Green Party to hand out leaflets encouraging drivers to boycott Esso because of their stance on global warming. We managed to paint each other in just over three hours at my house in Trowbridge before walking into the town centre. Our tigers were so popular that our local Greenpeace group had to order more leaflets! We got a great write-up in the local paper, and even ended up on the cover of Green World magazine!
